Fall is Here

Hello Lovelies.

I hope everyone has been enjoying life as summer has come to an end and Fall is finally here. A lot has been going on lately and I'm so sorry I've neglected the blog but I'm trying my best to whip into shape. So updates first....

Last month P.S. You're Lovely co-hosted an event called Paper & Pearls with Karee of Koby and Kylie Co., a lovely stationery company. The event was a hit and from it came an amazing development. HOUSTON Modern Luxury Magazine reached out and asked to do an article on me and some fellow young jewelry designers! At first, I thought is was going to be a small write up until I was asked to come in a do a photo shoot! Excited much?!?! Anyway the article will come out in November so it's almost here. You know I'll post something as soon as it comes out. Keep an eye out for me.

In other news... www.PSYoureLovely.com is now officially up and running. I wanted to make sure there was a wonderful site up in time for the publishing of the article and I'm happy with the final product...for now at least. I know my "photobug" and the simple ability to be able to change things I need to might mean the site always looks a little different but if that keeps you coming back to check it out then I think my plan is already working.

Lastly, I've got some great stocking-stuffers to take about because we all night December will be here before you know it. Allow me to introduce the Birthstone Necklaces; a simple collection of 16 inch necklaces adorned with 3 birthstone equivalent Swarovski Crystals at the center of each necklace. Look out for each month to be posted on Etsy very soon for your holiday needs or simple shoot me an email at any time. You can check out October's Necklace right now!

I think that's all for now but I hope you'll visit again soon!

 Blissfully,

P.S. You're Lovely

Craft Night: Chain Maille

Hey Lovelies,

So tonight I decided I was going to have a personal Craft Night. I wanted to learn something I didn't know how to do so I decided how to teach myself how to do Chain Maille.

What is Chain Maille?
Chainmaille (also known as chainmail, or simply maille) is typically armor or jewelry made by connecting metal rings to one another. The word maille derives from the French word maille (mesh), which comes from Latin macula (mesh of a net). Creating something out of maille involves a few steps:

  • Wrap metal wire around a rod to make a coil.
  • Cut the coil, creating individual "jump rings."
  • Using pliers, link the rings—one at a time—into a pattern.
Now that you kinda now what I'm talking about I hope you can enjoy the pictures from my adventure.
Let's Learn about Chain Maille

The Process Begins

I'm Getting Good

Mission Accomplished! Now What?

Possible New Product?

 Tell me what you think.

Blissfully,

Baby Girls Grow Up So Fast

Hello My Lovelies,

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July and enjoy all the pleasures of summer fun and foods. I had an amazing weekend but its back to work now. I wanted to share a special order with you today.

I just finished a Baby Girl's First Pearls for an order child. I simply increased in length of the necklace but kept the same pearl size so it doesn't become an overwhelming necklace for a young girl.
14" 4mm necklace with Swarovski Crystals

This necklace is 14" instead of the traditional 12" that you see for the baby's necklace.
Birthstones: October: Opal, November: Citrine, December: Blue Zircon

If you are interested in ordering Baby Girl's First Pearls for an older child here's a little help and the prices

  • A baby to a toddler wears 12" -$30
  • A child to a pre-teen wears 14" - $35
  • A teen to an adult wears 16" - $40 (this necklaces uses 8mm pearls. See Family Tree Necklace)

Hopefully this was a help and inspires you to add to your pearl collection or begin one for the little girl in your life.

Blissfully,

Introducing The Perfect Pair Collection

Hello My Lovelies,

Almost a month ago I posted some earring styles I was playing with. I haven't gotten to the point of comments following in on my blog yet but through facebook and friends they encouraged me to put them out there. I posted on my Facebook Fanpage The Perfect Pair Collection was now for sale late this past Wednesday night. I was totally putting it out there on faith.

I woke up Thursday morning to a very surprising Facebook message from Ellie, the best friend of one of my past brides, she was interested in purchasing TWO pair of my earrings. It might sound so small but it truly made my day. She was planning on giving them to a friend as a birthday present during their cruise to Cancun and needed them quickly since she was leaving Tuesday. I was able to finish the order and delivery it personally so I could guarantee it would make it to her on time. She loved them and to be there to see her first impression touched my heart. I can''t wait to hear what the birthday girl thinks about them!

If you're on my newsletter mailing list you can expect an email introducing the collection officially and they'll be posted to their own special page on the blog soon enough. The earrings currently in this collection are $8 each or two pair for $12. I hope you love them as much as I do and look out for more things to come in the next month. I'm so excited!

Blissfully,

What Do We Think? : PSYL Earrings

Hello My Lovelies,

I have been listening to your requests through facebook, emails, and friends and, as promised, an answer is in the works. I love to keep you all in the loop and behind the scenes because I want each piece to feel like it belongs to you as much as it belongs to me. I worked on four designs today and each is just a little different. As ideas come to me I will give them a try.

What do we think?

Can't wait to hear from you.
